The England manager Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Following Emphatic Wales Victory.

The England head coach shared his sadness that the Three Lions team did not enjoy more backing from the Wembley spectators during their impressive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday evening.

Tuchel was pleased to see his squad continue their strong performance, with goals from Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the opening quarter deciding the contest. But, he was not content with the energy at the iconic venue.

“With limited sessions to get ready against a organized team and we excelled,” the coach commented. “It could have been 5-0 up at half-time. We missed the additional ones. There was little noise. We didn’t get support from the crowd. We did everything to win.”

“What more can you deliver in the first quarter? We didn’t let them escape. When you only hear just the Welsh supporters for 30 minutes, it’s regrettable because the team warranted greater backing today.”

“I maintain my words. There’s nothing more than being three goals up in a derby. I would have wished for a little more backing in moments where it is challenging.”

“After halftime, to get behind us, there was excessive support for Wales. It could have helped us to regain energy, but that’s the way it went and so be it.”

Selection Choices Vindicated by Performance

Away from risking a fight with fans, the manager also created controversy by excluding Jude Bellingham and Foden from his team selection. However the choice was justified by Morgan Rogers impressing again in the attacking midfield role and getting his maiden goal for his country.

“He plays his game,” the head coach said. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is vying for his place.”

Wales Manager Hopes for Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager hopes that Wales, who face Belgium in a crucial World Cup qualifier on next week, improve after their disappointing performance in the opening period.

“This is why I scheduled this match,” Bellamy commented. “I need to see our current level. What are our ambitions? Who do we want to be? This performance fills me with drive.”

Fitness Worry for Striker

Ollie Watkins was substituted at the break after hitting a post and is a concern when the national team face Latvia in Riga in a qualifier on next week.
